New Blog for a new year!

You don't know our Jack is the best title I could come up with. So far this year has been interesting. The whole family has gotten sick, Jack and I are still under the weather; though I believe we are finally on the mend.

I've finally decided to go back to school, I'm scared though. What if I go there and can't remember anything I learned from before, what if I take the test and they take me aside and say "How do you walk in a straight line?"
or what it I get there and all I can do is drool?!?!?

I'm afraid this is going to cut into my Travis time, though he'll be getting more Jack time which is great for both of them! I think I've not been sharing Jack as much as I should.

Jack loves pears! Or he did last time I fed them to him, he's been off solids since he got sick, he's not wanted to sleep at night either. Last night was pretty good though he only woke up 5 times, as opposed to 5 times an hour. He's such a sweet boy though, Travis brought him to bed this morning and I fed Jack and we all went back to sleep for a little while longer.
Jack seemed so comfy in our bed I hated taking him to his room to change his diaper.

We finally got his room the way we want it! It looks great! We've got the changing station right next to the crib and the rocker/glider next to it. Then across the room we have the cool blue hanging toy organzer from Ikea, next to that we have his bookcase which is quickly filling up (keep the books coming!) it has the cd player on top. There's a shelf on the wall above it with all kinds of neat things like a pirate ship from Savannah. Next to the book case is the chest of drawers, on top of it is the tv, the mocket of Rocky Omega, and a few pictures of Granny, Grandad and Grandma and Grandpa.

We put up a neat light we got from Ikea it's light blue and makes a neat light pattern on the wall when switched on.

Jack loves to reach for things now, and will fall over sideways or forward to get what he's reaching for. Just a few minutes ago he reached out while I was checking his diaper for stinky factor and he grabbed my glass of milk. It went every where :(

I've been thinking about starting to write letters to Jack. Mostly I think of what I'd write at night before I fall asleep, things like "You're still sick today, I wish there was more I could do to make you feel better but there just isn't. You aren't getting alot of sleep at night but I hold you and rock you as much as I can and that seems to help a little." "Your Dad finished his book and we are starting the process of finding an agent, I can't wait to see how well it does!"

That sort of thing.

Maybe I should keep a journal by the bed just for that. I'm always afraid of what he'll think of it when he's older, I bet he'll think it's lame when he's a teenager, he might appreciate it when he's a dad or his wife might....

Maybe I'll just keep it for me. We found out over the holidays that Travis' sister Jessica is going to be having a baby in August!! Way to go!! I knew it wouldn't be long ;) I wish I could be there with her to help her through the rougher parts, but she seems to be having an easy time of it so far. I hope that keeps up!

I was thinking I'd write this in Jacks voice, but I'm too tired to think of what he'd say. I'm so uncreative....it's probably just sleep deprivation. I know I can be creative, when I put my mind to it. I'm going to go take a hot bath.

Happy new year!

Oh New year resolutions:
